7th week –
El día de la independencia de México – PPT

We told a story, drew it, said it from the drawings and wrote it.

We had our first dictation. Students wrote the Spanish that they heard. As we continue to practice, we hope to see the percentages of words correctly written increase.

8th week-
el vocabulario nuevo:
a friend——————un amigo
the elephants———–los elefantes
the gorillas————–los gorillas
s/he gets on a camel—monta a un camello
s/he knows (something)—sabe
s/he talks/speaks——-habla
s/he likes—————-le gusta

Students heard a story (about Waldo) with this vocabulary. They answered questions about the story.

Students read a story, El cuento del gato, and did Ejercicios 1, 2 y 3 (answering questions about the story).

Apuntes (notes): Plural nouns:
la ventana—–las ventanas
la puerta——-las puertas
el partido——los partidos
el bolígrafo—-los boligrafos
el libro———los libros
el lápiz———los lápices (z before e becomes c)
el día———–los días
el cartel——–los carteles

Students used the rules about writing plural words to write the plurals of 20 words.

Students filled in the missing words of the song about Mónica y su gato.
