El alfabeto -Practice quiz today.  Hay una prueba mañana. (There is a quiz tomorrow)

********************************

See whether a word needs an accent or not...  If a word ends in a vowel, n or s, you stress the next to the last syllable.  IF THE WORD IS STRESSED ELSEWHERE, IT NEEDS AN ACCENT.

se levanta
anda
da la vuelta
salta
rápidamente
despacio
para adelante
hacia atrás
cate
Vowels – a, e, i, o, u     U and I are weak.  If they are with a strong vowel, the strong vowel will be heard more

vuelta

farmacia

e You should hear the “e” more, but the “i” is stressed, so it needs an accent.
